An Accounts Receivable Representative II will perform the collection, cash application, and customer accounting functions for an assigned group of customers, collect accounts receivable balances when due, apply customer payments in an accurate and timely manner, and perform customer accounting duties as directed.
Collection of accounts receivable balances when due.
Daily customer contact is required to collect balances using phone, email, FAXES, letters, statements, etc. to communicate with an assigned portfolio of customers.
Application of customer payments.
Daily application of lock box receipts, live checks, wires and credit memos to A/R ledger in an accurate and timely manner.
Research and resolve customer short payment and deduction issues on a timely basis.
Work with the customer and internal departments to facilitate resolution.
Use the established Greensheet process.
Process manual billings and credits approved by management on a timely basis.
Perform customer accounting maintenance including customer set up as directed by management.
Create daily and weekly accounts receivable aging reports for internal and external review.
Maintain responsibility for closing cash on a daily basis as directed by management.
Provide coverage and training for other A/R Analysts for functions including but not limited to deposits, upload applications, manuals, etc.
Attend meeting and participate in internal and external conference calls as directed by management.
Associate Degree in Management or Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
One to three years related experience.
Knowledge of commercial credit laws.
Knowledge of cash application functions.
Proficient with Microsoft suite of products; especially Excel.
Self motivated individual with good work ethic, good organizational, and good time management skills.
