The primary purpose of Analyst, Facilities Planning & Automation role is to model and analyze the capabilities of existing and conceptual distribution centers as part of cohesive supply chain planning exercises including:
Understanding of supply chain initiatives and conceptual plans.
Developing tools to support supply chain and distribution center modeling.
Modeling and analysis of distribution center capabilities and capacities as part of supply chain initiatives.
Developing concepts (and budgetary estimates) to improve the capacity and efficiency of distribution centers.
Integrating product slotting into capacity and efficiency models.
Developing conceptual layouts to support supply chain initiates.
Analyzing customer product movement and growth data.
Analyzing CAD drawings to support DC modeling and analysis.
Developing Material Flow Diagrams and related analysis.
Interfacing with multiple internal and external departments including Finance, Customer Sales, Operations, Transportation, Real Estate, and other 3rd parties.
Support supply chain initiatives and projects within C&S;, ES3, and involving Symbotic by modeling and analyzing Distribution Center capabilities and capacities.
Develop tools to standardize and support the team's facility modeling projects and analysis.
Support and train team members on analytical techniques, modeling techniques, and department capabilities
Develop databases and other reference documents related to analytics, warehouse parameters, system parameters, etc. to support department projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Develop analysis and presentation standards within the Facilities Planning team
Maintain relationships with Finance, Transportation, Operations and Customer Sales
Represent Faculties Planning team and Facilities department during internal C&S; project meetings
Develop standard concepts for a range of applications.
Keep informed on industry news and facility technologies
BS in Engineering, Facility Planning, or equivalent. Masters preferred but not required.
1 - 5 years; preferred experience in Facility Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement or equivalent
Modeling of complex distribution centers, reading and analyzing of facility CAD drawings, development of facility design concepts, project management, development of professional presentation materials
Expert level skills at Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, SQL query development and/or other relevant applications experience
Proficiency in multi-tasking, prioritizing, communicating, and adapting to change
