A Buyer's Assistant will assist a Buyer Group with administrative tasks to support the procurement process and ensure customer satisfaction.
Organize and distribute reports to members of the department
Collect new product and vendor information and enter this data into the mainframe system
Adjust, cancel and expedite the allocations and purchase orders as received
Maintain items and vendor information including bills, purchase orders and pricing
General office duties such as filing, faxing and answering phones
Assist other members of the Procurement Department as needed
High School diploma or equivalent
Strong computer skills, specifically using Microsoft Excel
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, demanding environment
