This position is responsible for internal and external organization communications and marketing collateral through research, interviews, writing, design and event promotion. Works to promote service lines, increase patient engagement and education and support development efforts. Develops and distributes effective messaging for internal and external communications. Serves as media/external relations liaison and represents the organization in a professional manner to the media. Makes appropriate arrangements for interviews with hospital personnel. Develops and enhances relationships with appropriate media representatives. Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a job-related field is required. At least three years proven copywriting, editing, and proofreading experience creating content such as news releases, talking points, etc. Ability to create targeted messages for a variety of media outlets. Blog writing experience preferred. Media relations experience; prefer some experience in news media. Or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
