Summary:
Assist in the development of detailed system specifications for major systems installation; may provide work leadership and directions for other members of the programming staffs, with emphasis on details analysis and programming issues; works independently with little direct supervision in the maintenance of assigned systems and the development and installation of systems of moderate size/complexity.

Responsibilities:
Translate Business Requirements into Technical Specifications.
Design systems of high complexity in a Mainframe environment.
Code / test / debug highly complex programs in a Mainframe environment.
Provide production problem assessments, solutions, and recovery efforts.
Provide experienced based skills in the implementation of application systems projects and tasks.
Create and/or Update System Documentation.
Follow defined compliance and development standards as defined by Sr. IT Management.
Participate in on-call rotation for off hours support of systems.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent experience.
3-5
years' experience with Degree, or 7-9
years without Degree.
Programming languages : Cobol, RPG, EZ-Trieve, Ideal, CICS, MVS JCL,
Platforms : MVS, Windows Network, Databases/File Structures: CA DataComm, DB2, VSAM.
Desired are skills with PL/SQL (less than 5% use of this skill set)
Written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage small to medium size projects.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Flexible and adaptable to change.
Decision making and critical thinking skills.
Strong Industry experience in Retail or Food distribution, merchandizing or procurement is preferred.
